Job Description

We have a great opportunity for an experienced welder with a local commercial and industrial construction company! Duties include

• Reading and understanding blueprints before starting a project
• Sourcing the materials to be used in the project
• Measuring and cutting materials to specifications
• Welding materials using the correct materials to join the metals together
• Checking finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints
  

Requirements

Must be able to complete and pass carbon and stainless welding tests day of interview with company.

Must be reliable and have reliable transportation.

• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to read blueprints
• Knowledge of metallurgy
• Knowledge of various welding techniques including TIG MIG arc and oxyfuel welding
• Knowledge of manual and mechanical welding techniques
  

A high school diploma or GED Three or more years of trade experience as a plumber or plumber s apprentice Thorough knowledge of plumbing system maintenance and repairs Time management skills Ability to drive company vehicles to various commercial and residential sites for work Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in client and co-worker relations Understanding of current field regulations
