The Call Center Representative assists patients with their appointments, insurance, and other health care services. Act as a liaison between patient and provider when needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Proficiency with various Microsoft Windows products and Medical Systems.
  • Have an aptitude to work in a very busy environment including phones, patients and staff as needed.
  • To schedule all appointments in the assigned area, according to the schedule of the providers.
  • To answer questions regarding the scheduling of appointments and insurance protocols to the best ability and refer quarries to providers and supervisory administrative personnel.
  • To relay telephone messages and appropriate charts to providers.
  • To consult with supervisor when appointment demands exceed existing schedule.
  • To register patients in an efficient and timely manner.
  • To follow all fiscal requirements.
  • To report to supervisor any problems regarding patients, insurances or appointments.
  • To establish an environment fostering patient satisfaction.
  • To serve as a facilitator for patients to receive needed health care services.
  • Obtain and enter accurate demographic information into patients account
  • Inform caller of items to bring to appointment
  • Understanding of when to escalate calls to physicians/practice manager/nurse.
  • Ability to speak clearly in order to communicate effectively between patient and provider, provide pre-visit instructions/directions, and relay provider instructions.
  • Promotes sense of pride in call center and positive interpersonal relations among all team members.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have a pleasant telephone personality.
  • Computer skills with emphasis on accuracy of patient demographics information.
  • Insurance verification experiences a plus.
  • 1 year experience in clerical field, preferably medical.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
