Laboratory Assistant

Job Description

As a Lab Assistant, main responsibilities include sorting of specimens, order entry of patient requisitions, labeling of specimens, and packaging for transport to be sent to the main lab. This team is actively involved in pre-analytical and post-analytical processes of testing but are not directly involved in testing. This is a great role to get into if someone is looking to grow their lab career.

Must Have:

• Comfortability working with human specimens including: blood, urine, stool, tissue, etc.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand on your feet for a long period of time
  
  

Nice to have:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a science related discipline (Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, etc.)
• Previous laboratory experience
