The Distribution Supervisor at CKitchen will undergo a comprehensive training program that will introduce them to all aspects of the day-to-day operations, from inbound to outbound. The objective of the program is to prepare them for a supervisory position at one of our Distribution Centers. After completing the program, the Distribution Supervisor will be assigned a department and will be responsible for overseeing an entire shift, from supervisors to frontline workers. They should possess a thorough understanding of the various inbound/outbound procedures and protocols, as well as the ability to develop new techniques to increase production. The Distribution Supervisor will ensure that all new employees receive proper training, and current employees who require retraining receive adequate instruction. The Distribution Supervisor position is suitable for intermediate level candidates who are interested in pursuing a management career in the field of operations and supply chain management.
The Distribution Supervisor will be responsible for monitoring the daily, weekly, and monthly metrics for their assigned shift, ensuring that all frontline supervisors enforce the consequences of failing to meet expectations. They will also participate in hiring for their department to ensure that all metrics can be met and will communicate any needs to the Inbound/Outbound Operations Manager. The Distribution Supervisor will supervise between 10-30 employees and should have extensive supervisor experience.
Moreover, the Distribution Supervisor will lead weekly and monthly meetings with their direct supervisors to communicate all information passed down from the Distribution Manager, Inbound/Outbound Operations Manager, and Director of Operations. These meetings will provide an overview of current metric standings, areas of improvement, personnel issues, and updates on quarterly initiatives. Frontline supervisors will choose these quarterly initiatives from a list of specific directives that must have quantifiable data to back improvement.
The Distribution Supervisor will be expected to train and work in every department of their team. They will also fill the role of an absent Manager as needed due to illness, vacation, or other obligations preventing a manager from being present at work as needed.
