Flagship Publishing is a privately-held media company that specializes in regional magazine brands and print and digital media products. Its paid-circulation magazine titles include Nebraska Life Magazine, Colorado Life Magazine, Utah Life Magazine and Maui Nō Ka ʻ Oi Magazine . Flagship's media products connect consumers with the places they love through beautiful photography, fine storytelling, curated advertisements and a fine selection of products.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Advertising Sales Director at Nebraska Life Magazine . The Advertising Sales Director will be responsible for managing, developing and growing the advertising sales across the state, creating and implementing a sales strategy, maintaining current relationships with clients, prospecting for new clients and developing advertising-funded products. This is a remote position but does require residency in Nebraska.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth.
2. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, acting as the primary point of contact for advertising inquiries and opportunities.
3. Collaborate with editorial, marketing and production teams to create compelling advertising packages and campaigns that align with client objectives and target audience.
4. Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports and presentations to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics, achievements and areas for improvement.
5. Represent the company at industry events, conferences and networking functions.

Qualifications

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in advertising sales.
2. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and colleagues.
3. Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a keen understanding of market dynamics, consumer behavior, and advertising trends.
4. Results-oriented mindset, with a passion for driving business growth.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software; experience with advertising sales platforms is a plus.
6. Knowledge of the Nebraska regional market and familiarity with local businesses, industries and demographics is highly desirable.
7. Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications or related field of study.
