Are you a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist looking to make a difference from the comfort of your own home? We're looking for a Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school district in Illinois for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year. This is a remote position, allowing you the flexibility to work from anywhere within Illinois, while delivering important speech therapy services to K-12 students through teletherapy.
As a Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist, you will assess and treat a range of speech and language disorders, create individualized therapy plans, and collaborate with a supportive team—all from the convenience of your home office. With access to an extensive toolkit of resources, and dedicated clinical and technical support, you will have everything you need to succeed and make a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Virtual Therapy: Deliver speech therapy to K-12 students in an Illinois school district using a secure, user-friendly online platform.
Assess and Treat Disorders: Conduct thorough speech assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and implement interventions to help students overcome speech and language challenges.
Track Student Progress: Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and modifications to treatment plans.
Collaborate with Educational Teams: Work closely with teachers, school staff, and parents to monitor student progress and adjust therapy approaches as needed.
Engage with Digital Tools: Utilize a wide range of digital tools and resources to create engaging, effective virtual lessons and exercises.
Stay Current with Best Practices: Keep up with the latest research and best practices in teletherapy and speech-language pathology, adapting them to an online setting.

Qualifications:
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Illinois.
ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) is preferred, but not required.
Previous experience working with K-12 students in a school setting is preferred.
Comfort with or experience in teletherapy and online platforms is a plus.
Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
Ability to effectively engage students using virtual tools and resources.
