Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our dynamic, fully remote team. As we transition from QuickBooks to Zoho Books, your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless migration and maintaining compliance across our financial operations. How You'll Contribute:

System Migration: Lead the transition from QuickBooks to Zoho Books, ensuring a smooth migration with minimal disruption to our operations.

Compliance Control: Monitor and enforce compliance with vendor policies, ensuring that all financial practices adhere to internal and external standards. Proactively address any compliance issues.

Continuous Improvement: Implement and manage initiatives to enhance accounting processes and efficiency. Identify areas for improvement and propose actionable solutions.

Bookkeeping: Utilize your strong understanding of general ledger (GL) accounts and classifications. You will manage routine transactions, reconcile accounts, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support tax compliance. Familiarity with financial statements, budgeting, and expense tracking is essential for maintaining accurate records and providing insights to support overall financial health.

Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, facilitating effective communication and timely resolution of any issues.

Communication: Engage in regular internal communication with the accounting team and other departments, as well as external communication with vendors. Advocate for necessary changes and improvements within the organization.

Technical Proficiency: Leverage advanced bookkeeping skills and high-level technical proficiency to streamline processes and enhance efficiency through technology.

Data-Driven Decision-Making: Clearly communicate findings and recommendations using facts and data, maintaining professionalism in all interactions.

Monthly Invoicing: Ensure invoices are generated on the 1st of each month, and that auto payment processing is completed by the 20th. These tasks must be consistently performed on these dates, even if they fall on weekends or holidays. Flex time will be provided for any necessary adjustments.

Requirements:

Who You Are:

Experience: A minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, with a strong background in bookkeeping and vendor management.

Software Proficiency:

Experience with QuickBooks and Zoho Books
Proficiency in G Suite and Excel
Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Confluence is a plus.
Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of state use/sales tax compliance and relevant regulations.

Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Remote Work Experience: Proven ability to thrive in a fully remote work environment.

Professional Demeanor: Strong communication skills, with the ability to present data clearly and confidently.
