About the Role: Senior Data Analyst

As a Senior Data Analyst, you'll bring your deep knowledge of healthcare systems and your technical expertise to help us achieve our mission of delivering high-quality solutions for our clients. You will work both independently and collaboratively with other analysts to provide vital data support, playing a key role in our efforts to improve healthcare program integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Safeguard the confidentiality and security of sensitive and business-critical information.
Adhere to all privacy and security protocols, ensuring compliance with both company and client policies.
Stay up to date with required privacy and security training, including any additional role-based training as needed.
Build models and conduct analytics to support efforts in detecting Medicare and Medicaid fraud, waste, and abuse.
Apply your healthcare data knowledge to identify patterns and anomalies that may indicate fraudulent activity.
Develop and refine complex models using tools like Python, R, SQL, SAS, and Databricks.
Extract and manipulate healthcare claims data stored in cloud environments, utilizing appropriate software for the task.
Continuously learn and assess the impact of Medicare and Medicaid policy changes on fraud detection models.
Collaborate in testing sprints and projects to refine our methodologies.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, ensuring the quality of project deliverables.
Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, clearly explaining analysis procedures and results.
Lead and participate in team projects and brainstorming sessions to innovate and improve study designs.
Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulations, assessing their impact on our work.
Exercise discretion and independent judgment in all company-related matters, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field, or at least six years of data analysis experience in the healthcare industry.
A minimum of six years of experience working with large and complex data sets.
At least three years of data analysis experience specifically within the healthcare industry.
Advanced knowledge of analytical, mathematical, and statistical methods.
Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid claims, ICD-10 codes, HCPCS, and Diagnosis Related Groups (DRG).
Confidence in handling disparate datasets and using SQL functions and SAS procedures.
Relevant experience in a health-related, scientific, or public policy/business discipline with strong quantitative methods and statistical knowledge.
Proficiency in project software such as SAS/SQL, Python, Snowflake, R, and Databricks.
Competence in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to respond to tasks and requests in a cooperative and timely manner.
Adaptability to change, with a proactive approach to identifying and initiating necessary changes.
A strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
Must be able to pass a public trust background check (having one in place is preferred).

Successful completion of post-hire background screening checks.

Salary: $ 91,900.00 116,000.00 Per Year
