Solar Impact Inc. is searching for an experienced Solar Installer/Electrician to join our growing operations department. The person in this role is responsible for efficiently installing solar and electrical systems in accordance with the National Electrical Code.
The ideal candidate for this position possesses the following traits:
- 3-5 years of solar and electrical experience
- Willing to participate in the Electrical Apprenticeship program
- Hands-on expertise with NEC
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- High attention to detail and attention to process
- Working knowledge of digital devices and programs

Responsibilities:

- Install electrical equipment following the guidelines of the NEC
- Demonstrate proficiency in bending conduit
- Collaborate with a team to complete all tasks related to solar installations, such as job preparation, roof layout, racking, attachment, and system monitoring
- Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with customers and team members
- Ensure a safe work environment by strictly following Solar Impact and OSHA safety protocols
- Keep tools and parts organized within the installation vehicle
- Safely operate and maintain company vehicles and equipment
- Engage in the Electrical Apprenticeship program
- Participate in safety and solar installation training, both online and in-person
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth and efficient project progress
- Evaluate completed projects to identify areas for enhancing efficiency
- Meet attendance and punctuality requirements set by Solar Impact
- Willingly work overtime, nights, and weekends when necessary to meet project demands
- Travel and work out of town as needed
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate would have 3 to 5 years of prior electrical experience or have participated in the Electrical Apprentice program.
- A valid driver's license and insurability are required.
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- The candidate must be capable of working at great heights.
- They should be able to kneel, bend, crouch, and climb ladders for prolonged periods.
- The candidate must be able to stand on their feet for 10-hour shifts.
- They should have the ability to lift at least 75 pounds.
- The candidate must be willing to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when necessary.
- They should be comfortable working in extreme hot or cold temperatures.
- Availability to work overtime and weekends is required.
- Electrical Apprentices must be willing to attend night classes.
- Safety is a top priority. Candidates must perform all work in a manner that prevents accidents.
