Job Description

Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for performing tax preparation, tax research, and planning with minimal supervision. This position will also work directly with clients and supervise and assist tax staff personnel with preparation of tax returns and research.

The right candidate will be willing and able to:

• Prepare complex tax returns and perform tax research
  
• Respond to tax notices from taxing authorities
  
• Review tax information supplied by the client and will meet with and/or contact client regarding general or complex tax questions
  
• Recognize, anticipate, and resolve tax issues and make recommendations
  
• Assist and supervise tax staff in the preparation of tax returns and research.
  

What You'll Need:

• 3-5 years of prior public accounting experience
  
• CPA certified or CPA candidacy required
  
• Strong organization, problem-solving and analytical skills
  
• Diligent work ethic and dedicated to providing superior client service
  
• Possess integrity, be trustworthy, dependable, and a team player
  
• Excellent communication skills oral, written, and interpersonal
  
• Must be proficient in corporate, partnership, and individual tax return preparation and tax planning
  
• Ability to prepare interim and annual financial statements.
  
• Experience in managing multiple client engagements at the same time
  
• Prior basic supervisory experience is preferred
  
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and QuickBooks is required
  
• Lacerte tax software is preferred but not required
  
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
