What You’ll Do:
Join our team as a Senior Tax Accountant to perform complex tax preparation, research, and planning with minimal supervision. This role, reporting to the Tax Manager(s) and working closely with Partners, involves mentoring less experienced staff, engaging with clients on tax matters, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of tax filings.
Responsibilities:
· Prepare federal, state, local, and specialized tax returns
· Review client tax information; communicate directly with clients for inquiries
· Proactively identify and resolve client tax issues and recommend solutions
· Work collaboratively with clients to estimate taxes due before deadlines
· Contribute to team projects and achieve departmental goals
· Stay current with tax regulations and accounting standards
What You Bring:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s in Taxation a plus)
· Experience: 2-4 years in individual and business tax accounting
· Certification: Pursuing CPA or EA certifications is a plus!
· Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop & Online, Microsoft Excel & Outlook; experience with UltraTax is a plus
· Leadership and problem-solving abilities
