About this role:


The Senior Manager, Scientific Affairs will lead a team responsible for developing accurate, compelling, and timely clinical and scientific content to maximize understanding and amplification of clinical evidence supporting Boston Scientific therapies. This individual will oversee clinical evidence generation and dissemination activities , ensuring alignment with business and regulatory objectives.
This is a people management role, and prior experience managing direct reports is preferred. The ideal candidate will also have experience in process improvement, ensuring efficient workflows and high-quality deliverables.

This is a hybrid position (in office minimum three days per week) with the flexibility to be located in Arden Hills or Maple Grove, MN or Marlborough, MA. You will have the opportunity to discuss your preferred working location with your Talent Acquisition Specialist.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leadership & Team Management - Lead and mentor a team responsible for scientific and regulatory content development.
  • Provide strategic direction and coaching to ensure professional growth and high performance.
  • Oversee workload management, resource allocation, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Clinical Strategy and Scientific Content Development- Supervise the creation, review, and dissemination of scientific content across peer-reviewed publications, regulatory submissions, and clinical trial documents.
  • Ensure all scientific content aligns with business priorities, regulatory & HEMA requirements, and clinical objectives.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders & physician customers to align clinical strategy & publication efforts with overall business goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement- Work closely with key opinion leaders (KOLs) to develop publication and clinical strategies.
  • Act as a key liaison between internal teams and external experts to optimize the dissemination of clinical data.
  • Ensure clinical data is accurately represented in marketing, educational, and scientific materials.
  • Process Improvement & Planning- Develop annual plans for budgeting and resource management to meet strategic goals.
  • Proactively identify process improvement opportunities and lead the development and implementation of improved workflows..
  • Ensure alignment with internal teams, including marketing, clinical, R&D, and medical education.
  • Proactively track and report progress towards goal achievement, KPIs, and metrics

 

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required 
  • Minimum 10 years of related experience in clinical research in medical device industry 
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
  • Demonstrated project management and cross-functional team leadership 
  • Ability to develop and execute a comprehensive publication and clinical evidence strategy.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed upto 30%

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Prior people management experience.
  • Experience in process improvement and driving operational efficiencies.
  • Strong leadership skills, including communication, collaboration, strategic planning, and innovation.

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see --will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
