Are you a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist looking for a flexible and rewarding remote opportunity? We are seeking a Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide virtual speech therapy services to K-12 students within a school district in Illinois for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year. This fully remote position allows you to work from anywhere within Illinois, making a significant impact on students' speech and language development from the comfort of your home.
As a Virtual SLP, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students, providing assessments, therapy, and support to help them overcome speech and language challenges. You will develop individualized therapy plans, collaborate with school teams, and deliver services through a secure online platform, all while benefiting from a wealth of resources and support.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Virtual Speech Therapy: Deliver speech therapy services to K-12 students using a secure, user-friendly online platform.
Assess and Treat Disorders: Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and implement interventions tailored to individual student needs.
Collaborate with Educational Teams: Work closely with teachers, school staff, and parents to track student progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and ensure the best outcomes for each student.
Maintain Detailed Documentation: Keep accurate records of therapy sessions, document student progress, and update treatment plans in a timely and organized manner.
Engage Students with Digital Tools: Utilize a variety of digital tools and resources to create engaging, interactive virtual lessons and exercises that keep students motivated and focused.
Stay Informed on Best Practices: Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in teletherapy and speech-language pathology, adapting techniques to suit the virtual environment.

Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Illinois.
ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) is preferred, but not required.
Experience working with K-12 students, preferably in a school setting, is preferred.
Experience with teletherapy or a comfort level with using online platforms for therapy is a plus.
Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
Ability to effectively engage students through virtual tools and resources, ensuring an interactive and supportive learning experience.
