Job Description

1st Choice is seeking two highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Human Resources department in Rockville, MD as a temporary HR Scanning Associate. In this role, you will play a vital role in transitioning our HR data and documents to a new digital system. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including scanning physical files, migrating digital files from a legacy system, and assisting with the secure destruction of scanned documents.

Responsibilities:

  • Scanning and Data Entry:
    • Utilize high-volume document scanners to convert paper-based HR documents into digital files.
    • Perform data entry tasks associated with the scanned documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Ensure scanned files are properly named, categorized, and uploaded to the new digital HR system.
  • Legacy System Migration:
    • Assist with the migration of digital HR files from the legacy system to the new digital platform.
    • Verify data integrity and accuracy during the migration process.
    • Troubleshoot any issues encountered during the migration process and escalate them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Document Management:
    • Assist with the secure destruction of scanned documents in accordance with college policies and procedures.
    • Maintain accurate records of scanned documents and their destruction.
    • Organize and maintain a clean and efficient workspace for processing documents.
  • Additional Duties:
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the HR department to support the overall scanning and data migration project.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with document scanning and data entry.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to established procedures.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm
