Coastline Academy is the country's largest provider of driver education, operating across multiple states to deliver driving theory (both online and in-classroom) and practical behind-the-wheel training. Our team is made up of hundreds of dedicated hourly staff, many of whom work part-time. As we continue to expand rapidly, we are seeking a results-driven and people-focused Recruiting Manager to lead our talent acquisition efforts and ensure we attract and retain top talent.

Position Summary
The Recruiting Manager will oversee Coastline Academy's full-cycle recruiting strategy, focusing on sourcing, attracting, and hiring both hourly and salaried employees. This individual will play a key role in building a strong pipeline of driving instructors, corporate employees, and operational staff to support our growing business. The Recruiting Manager will be responsible for optimizing recruitment processes, managing employer branding initiatives, and leveraging data to improve hiring outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Talent Acquisition Strategy
    • Directly manage a team of recruiters and contract recruiters, ensuring effective execution of hiring initiatives for Driving Instructors, as well as management, administrative, and HQ roles.
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive recruiting strategy to meet the company's hiring needs for hourly, part-time, and full-time positions.
    • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify talent needs, define job requirements, and build role-specific recruitment plans.
    • Ensure diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) best practices are integrated into the hiring process.
  2. Candidate Sourcing & Pipeline Development
    • Utilize various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, employee referrals, and community partnerships to attract qualified candidates.
    • Build and maintain talent pipelines for high-demand roles, including driving instructors and corporate staff.
  3. Recruitment Process Management
    • Oversee the full-cycle recruitment process, from job posting to offer acceptance, ensuring an efficient and positive candidate experience.
    • Implement and manage an applicant tracking system (ATS) to streamline hiring workflows and improve efficiency.
    • Track and analyze key recruiting metrics to measure hiring effectiveness and make data-driven improvements.
  4. Employer Branding & Candidate Experience
    • Develop and promote Coastline Academy's employer brand to attract top talent and position the company as an employer of choice.
    • Manage external recruiting communications, including job postings, social media presence, and recruitment marketing campaigns.
    • Ensure a seamless and engaging candidate experience, providing timely communication and feedback throughout the hiring process.
  5. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
    • Partner with HR, operations, and leadership teams to align hiring initiatives with business goals.
    • Train and guide hiring managers on best hiring practices, interviewing techniques, and compliance with employment regulations.
    • Work closely with HR to ensure smooth onboarding of new hires and integration into company culture.

Key Competencies and Knowledge Areas

  • Talent Acquisition Expertise: Strong understanding of recruitment best practices, sourcing strategies, and candidate engagement.
  • HR Technology: Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools.
  • Employer Branding & Marketing: Experience developing and promoting an employer brand to attract top talent.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to track and analyze recruitment metrics to optimize hiring strategies.
  • Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal skills to build partnerships with hiring managers, candidates, and external stakeholders.
  • Communication Skills: Clear and professional written and verbal communication to effectively engage with candidates and internal teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in a multi-state, hourly workforce environment.
  • Experience managing high-volume hiring in a fast-paced, growing company.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and compliance related to hiring and recruiting.
  • Previous experience using an ATS to manage candidates and hiring processes.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
