Key Responsibilities:
Safely and accurately operate radiation therapy equipment to deliver prescribed treatments.
Perform high-quality radiation therapy procedures in accordance with physician instructions and treatment protocols.
Conduct pretreatment preparations, including simulations and the fabrication of treatment devices.
Perform daily QA (Quality Assurance) on linear accelerators and CT simulators.
Utilize hospital and Radiation Oncology EMR systems for recording patient treatments, documenting positioning information, and managing care coordination.
Educate and support patients to ensure a positive and compassionate experience.
Collaborate with the Radiation Oncologist and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
Participate in on-call procedures as needed.
Maintain a calm and professional demeanor, even in stressful situations, and resolve issues appropriately.
Requirements:
Education: Graduate of an approved program in Radiation Therapy.
Certification: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required.
Licensure: Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of New Mexico.
CPR Certification: Current certification required.
Experience: 3-5 years preferred; minimum of 1 year in radiation therapy is required.
Knowledge of the operation, methods, and safety standards for ionizing radiation equipment.
Ability to handle radiation sources safely and competently.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Location: In-person at Las Cruces, NM 88001. Relocation with employer-provided assistance is required.

Experience in patient education and care coordination.
Aptitude for operating advanced radiation therapy technology.
