Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Program Coordination:

  • Academic Program Management: Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of academic programs, workshops, and special events within the department.
  • Event Planning: Coordinate logistics for lectures, conferences, and other educational events, including scheduling, room reservations, and communication with participants.
    • Plan and organize international and domestic student/department travel.
  • Student Support: Serve as a point of contact for students, guiding academic resources, program requirements, and opportunities.
  • Communication: Maintain and update program-related content on the university website, social media, and other platforms. Distribute newsletters and announcements.
  • Budget Management: Assist in developing and managing program budgets, including tracking expenses and processing invoices.

Gallery Management:

  • Exhibition Planning: Collaborate with artists, faculty, and students to curate and install gallery exhibitions. Develop exhibition schedules and manage the gallery calendar.
  • Gallery Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the gallery, including opening and closing procedures, visitor services, and maintaining the gallery's appearance.
  • Public Relations: Promote gallery exhibitions and events through press releases, social media, and other marketing efforts. Develop relationships with artists, collectors, and the public.
  • Art Handling: Ensure the safe handling, storage, and transportation of artworks. Manage the installation and de-installation of exhibitions.
  • Educational Outreach: Develop gallery exhibits, workshops, and other educational programs for students and the community.
