Summary & Role Information:

The Premium Hub CoE Custom Code Management team focuses on providing Advisory and Architectural guidance typically during IT Transformations

As a Principal Technology Consultant, your area of responsibility will include the following areas:

  • Deliver Intelligent Custom Code Transformation Services with the objective to help premium engagements customers identify opportunities to keep the core clean leveraging Intelligent Custom Code Management tool using cluster technology
  • Deliver Custom Code Quality Improvement services
    • To define a quality governance strategy
    • Enable customers on development best practices for SAP S/4HANA and development on BTP
    • Identify quality issues with the custom code and provide recommendations to improve performance
  • Deliver Re-think-Redesign workshops with the objective to identify modifications/enhancements that can be replaced/re-platformed using extensions (in-app or side-by-side extensions)
  • Platform Custom Code Impact Analysis to identify the custom code impacted due to data model simplifications introduced with SAP S/4HANA simplifications.
  • Knowledge on functional areas like Finance and Logistics is an advantage
  • Knowledge and experience on Data transition/transformation tools like Data Transition Validation (DTV), migration objects is an advantage

As part of a global team, you will be working closely with SAP Development to support strategic customer initiatives. Business travel is essential part of this role.

 

Experience (Role Requirements):

  • Experience with ABAP programming, Restful ABAP programming, ABAP CDS
  • Experience on the topics of Extensibility like In-App and Side-by-Side Extensions on Business Technology Platform
  • Experience working with tools like ATC, SQLM, SCOV, Custom Code Migration App on BTP & CCLM
  • Knowledge over the topics like Modifications, Enhancements, ABAP Workflows
  • Knowledge over defining the quality governance standards for customers based on SAP S/4HANA development best practices.
  • Knowledge and experience on SAP S/4HANA conversions and upgrades is an advantage. 

 

The candidate should possess following:

  • Ability to lead and drive clean core journey of large MaxAttention customers in the North American region
  • Ability to define the KPI’s to capture the clean core metrics and define (quality or qualify) the value captured during the journey of Clean Core
  • Produce innovative ideas (if needed) to build tools enabling simplified and automated delivery of services to customers
  • Proficient in meeting/workshop/training facilitation
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks or projects with changing priorities.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong collaborative and problem resolution skills with good leadership, diplomacy, decision making and analytical skills.
  • Be a “roll up your sleeves” contributor and able to quickly adapt concepts and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation Range Transparency : SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the hourly base salary rate range applicable for the posted role. The targeted range for this position is 150,400 - 335,900 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidates will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process.
