Job Description
Gpac is currently working with a food manufacturer outside of Cincinnati, OH that is seeking a Plant Manager for their 2nd shift . This is with a large company that has been in business for over 50 years. Strong job stability and opportunity for advancement. They are seeking a hands-on leader with previous experience in a food manufacturing environment!
Responsibilities include:
* Oversee all operations of the plant, including production, maintenance, engineering, quality assurance, packaging, shipping
* Coordinate plant activities by strategically planning with departmental managers to ensure manufacturing objectives are achieved efficiently and within budget.
* Monitor overall plant performance, maintaining high standards for production output and product quality.
* Provide leadership and training to align team efforts with company goals and objectives.
* Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
* Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment
* Develop and maintain quality control measures to meet or exceed industry standards
* Develop and monitor KPIs to measure performance and identify areas for improvement
* Streamline processes to enhance productivity and reduce downtime
* Implement and optimize production schedules to meet demand and reduce waste
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree
* Previous experience in a Plant Management role
* Hands-on leadership with ability to manage teams of 100+ and multiple supervisors effectively
* Expertise in Lean Manufacturing principles and their application
* Meat processing or related industry ideal
* Bilingual in Spanish or French a plus
* Strong knowledge of USDA, FDA, HACCP, SQF, GMP's, SOP's
