What Your Day Will Look Like At Merit, the People Team Coordinator is the front-line person for our employee experience. This position is integral to our hiring, onboarding, performance management, training, and offboarding experiences, as well as retention and engagement efforts. Additionally, this position is responsible for tracking and reporting on special projects.
In general, you can expect to :
- Manage onboarding activities for new hires
- Manage Merit's PEO relationship, including HR side of payroll and benefit programs
- Assist in the coordination of the performance management process
- Update policies and the company handbook to ensure compliance with employment law
- Train employees and managers on People Team related activities such as using JazzHR (our applicant tracking software), onboarding, policies and procedures, performance management, and benefits
- Assist in the execution of HR strategies and initiatives
- Serve as the front line for employee questions and concerns
- Elevate communication across the organization on People related activities, events, processes, and deadlines
- Manage the offboarding process, including exit interviews
- Create and update HR metrics to include turnover, demographics, training events/completion, engagement statistics, etc.
- Lead and complete special initiatives and projects assigned by the VP of People
You’re perfect for this role if you: - Have proven experience in, and passion for, supporting and serving employees to increase engagement, retention, and performance
- Have a continuous improvement and innovative mindset to see better ways of solving problems and achieve results
- Are people oriented, results-driven, and business savvy
- Have experience using the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Possess incredible attention to detail
- Have experience creating and tracking HR metrics
- Possess knowledge and experience in labor law, HR best practices, and HR systems
- Have the ability to communicate clearly and influence people
- Actively listen, negotiate, and present with clarity and excellence
- Confidently build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
What You Bring - Proven high performer, with 3-5 years successful experience in Human Resources
- Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, or related area
- PHR or similar certification
- Strong people, communication, and presentation skills
- Technologically and business savvy, to include knowledge of HRIS, ATS and LMS system
- People metrics experience
