Your role and responsibilities Performs routine operations such as rewinding, repairing, reassembling and assisting testing of large-sized DC armatures, AC stators and rotors, etc. Performs related duties as assigned i.e., assisting on the larger or more complicated units. May dismantle and repair commutators and collector rings as well as to band rotating equipment. Will be required to work overtime, various shifts, holidays and weekends. Drive to customer job sites.
Qualifications for the role - Qualifications/Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year industrial or military experience involving mechanical or electrical operations.
- Able to read and interpret safety, quality documents, drawings and work instructions.
- Experience with repetitive hand work, lifting up to 40 lbs
- Able to maintain a safe and productive working environment for extended periods.
- Good Mechanical skills with basic hand tools.
- Able to obtain forklift operation certificate (in-house)
- Self-starter able to work with minimal direction.
- This is a repair service-oriented business, early call-in and overtime situations will occur.
- Able to travel and complete overnight stays on short notice.
- Desired Characteristics
- Electric motor repair experience highly desirable.
- Experience operating within Health and Safety program guidelines.
