Lakota Solutions, LLC. is currently is seeking a qualified Motor Vehicle Mechanic to join our team and support our US Army program at Fort Drum, NY on a full time basis.


Primary Duties/Responsibilities may include:

  • Repairs, rebuilds, or overhauls major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks, or tractors.
  • Diagnosing the source of trouble and determining the extent of repairs required
  • Replacing worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts
  • Rebuilding carburetors
  • Repairing fuel injection, lighting, and ignition systems
  • Grinding and adjusting valves
  • Overhauling transmissions
Requirements:

Candidate minimum requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen

Candidate must meet eligibility requirements to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).

In general, requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.

Candidate must have 5+ years of experience with the following:

  • HMMWV Family of Vehicles (FOV) Fundamental Maintenance and Troubleshooting Skillset
  • FMTV/LMTV FOV Fundamental Maintenance and Troubleshooting Skillset
  • HEMTT FOV Fundamental Maintenance and Troubleshooting Skillset
  • Trailer Fundamental Maintenance and Troubleshooting Skillset
  • Power Generation Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting Skillset
  • Vehicle mounted Air Conditioning and Heater Maintenance and Troubleshooting Skillset
  • NYS Driver’s License – required to operate military vehicles without airbrakes
