Mortgage Loan Officer
We are seeking a qualified Mortgage Loan Officer with proven experience in originating residential mortgages to join our team at a dynamic brokerage. This role offers opportunities to engage in various real estate activities including hard money lending, non-QM lending, wholesaling, house flipping, and renovation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mortgage origination with banks or mortgage companies, and a readiness to expand their lending knowledge. Obtaining a Real Estate License to offer both loans and client representation is encouraged.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source leads for home buyers and current homeowners.
- Learn and offer a diverse range of mortgage products including hard money, non-QM, VA, FHA, and Conventional loans.
- Build and nurture strong business relationships with Realtors, past clients, and other real estate professionals for referral business.
- Close purchase transactions efficiently and maintain proactive communication with clients and referral partners to encourage repeat business.
- Advise borrowers on loan qualifications and guide them through the application process.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively, ensuring prompt resolution.
Essential Functions:
- Minimum of 1 year of mortgage loan origination experience.
- Existing relationships with Realtors are highly valued.
- Ability to network effectively and maintain strong relationships with referral partners.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills for client scenarios.
- Proficient in quickly and accurately qualifying applicants.
- Thorough understanding of loan program guidelines, pricing, policies, and procedures.
- Expertise in originating FHA, VA, Conventional, and Non-QM mortgage loans.
- Ability to analyze customer financial information to recommend suitable loan products.
- Ensure complete and accurate submission of loan applications and supporting documentation.
- Guide customers through the entire loan process, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
- NMLS license and relevant certifications.
- Strong passion for the real estate and mortgage industry.
