Job Description

Job Purpose:

Join our dynamic team as a Mortgage Loan Officer, where you'll have the flexibility to work remotely or from one of our office locations. This role requires occasional travel to meet clients and attend meetings, giving you the best of both worlds!

Primary Responsibilities:

- Seek out and engage with clients to provide residential mortgage solutions.
- Convert incoming and outgoing leads into loan applications.
- Assess clients' financial needs and recommend the best mortgage products and rate programs.
- Meet and exceed monthly sales performance goals.

Essential Functions:

- Handle the entire mortgage process from solicitation and negotiation to securing and processing loans.
- Counsel and guide loan applicants through the process.
- Collect necessary information and documents from applicants and other parties.
- Determine and communicate interest rates, points, and fees related to loans.
- Collect any charges or fees from loan applicants.
- Monitor the status of loan applications and keep all parties updated.
- Coordinate with team members for loan processing and closing.
- Address questions from applicants and resolve any disputes related to loan closings.
- Share information about loan products, rates, and services with real estate professionals.
- Attend meetings and presentations conducted by the team or real estate firms.
- Prepare reports, ensuring the accuracy of loan files and document retention.
- Take on additional duties as needed.

Skills/Qualifications:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing and negotiating loans in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with loan processing guidelines including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA.
- Strong understanding of standard loan practices, documents, and real estate terminology.
- In-depth knowledge of the mortgage market.
- Proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) is preferred.
- Must be based in California.

Compensation:

- $52,000 - $200,000 per year, with additional commission pay (1099).

Salary: $ 40,000.00 140,000.00 Per Year
