Job Description

What you'll be doing:

• Frequently carrying, dragging, and pulling of wires, lines, rigging, and ropes
• Working on the river apron, and in the cargo holds of barges being loaded and unloaded
• Assisting in crane signaling operations to lift and move cargo in normal daily stevedoring operations
• Shoveling and sweeping barge/ramp/dock while trucks are unloading product
• Yard maintenance as needed
• Painting/ Housekeeping of full facility
• Maintenance of all equipment
• Operating forklifts, loaders, and other equipment necessary to carry on normal company activity
• Stacking, removing barge covers as needed to perform work with Crane and other equipment
• Tying off barges on and off crane or dock of barges being loaded and unloaded
• Other duties as assigned

Candidates must:

• Possess a High School diploma or GED
• Have reliable transportation to and from work daily
• Pass a post-offer process of an offer is made ( background check, drug screen, and physical )
• Can walk and lift for extended periods
• Can carry more than fifty pounds on a regular basis unassisted
• Must be able to read and write the English language to comply with USCG regulatory requirements
