Job Description

Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Labor and Employment Attorney who can advise clients on a wide range of labor and employment issues. The Labor and Employment Attorney is responsible for researching and understanding labor regulations, advising clients on matters such as hiring, disciplinary action, and termination, and representing public entities in labor-related litigation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research, interpret, and apply relevant employment and labor laws.
• Develop strategies for addressing labor and employment issues, including hiring, disciplinary action and termination.
• Advise clients on employee relations, collective bargaining, and personnel policies.
• Negotiate and draft labor agreements, employee handbooks, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in labor-related litigation.
• Participate in labor negotiations, mediations, and grievance procedures.

Qualifications:

• JD from an accredited law school, Tier 1 or Tier 2 school a plus 
• Admission to the bar in the jurisdiction in which the position is based.
• Experience or Interest in representing Public Entities
• Previous experience in labor and employment law.
• Knowledge of Employment Law, employee, workers comp, Labor Negotiation, CalPERS, OSHA, Litigation
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
