Full job description:

Town of Ontario is currently seeking applicants to fill an immediate vacancy of Junior Engineer. Appointment will be on a provisional basis pending successful completion of a civil service exam to be held at a later date.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Possession of a bachelor’s degree, or higher, in civil or environmental engineering or civil or engineering technology, or a closely related field; OR
• Possession of an associate’s degree in civil engineering technology, environmental technology, construction technology or a closely related field AND two (2) years full-time paid experience, or its part-time equivalent, as a civil engineering technician or surveyor, planning, zoning, MS4 experience.
• An equivalent combination of experience and training as defined by limits of (1) and (2) above.

Starting Rate:

$60,000-$70,000 based on experience with comprehensive benefits package including paid holidays, paid leave, health and dental insurance, professional development training, and NYS Retirement pension.
