Job Summary:
iSphere.net is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and monitoring all computing, networking, and storage systems. Your role will involve providing top-level technical support and expertise in service delivery.
Primary Job Function:
- Identify areas for process improvement to enhance service delivery
- Apply advanced system administration, management, and performance-tuning techniques
- Lead and direct internal and external resources to optimize infrastructure services
- Serve as a technical liaison for Infrastructure project activities
- Mentor fellow engineers, administrators, and team members
- Communicate system performance degradation promptly to management
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for the systems environment
- Ensure strict change control of the system infrastructure
- Provide additional technical services as required for project completion
- Perform other related duties as necessary
Experience:
- Minimum five years of experience supporting Microsoft Windows Server and Exchange in an operations/production environment
- Microsoft Certification and/or experience with Microsoft products, including Azure Stack HCI, Intune, Office 365, and Hyper V
- Experience managing enterprise data protection systems (e.g., Veeam, Data Domain)
- Experience in responding to IT Audits
- Experience in designing systems and security strategies
- Extensive understanding of Entra ID/Active Directory up through Server 2022 and vNext
- Experience in a SAN or NAS-based environment (HPE Nimble, Dell EMC VNX)
- Preferred experience with Dell and Cisco UCS hardware
- Understanding of network topologies
- Experience with load balancers
- Familiarity with enterprise email security strategies and concepts
- Root cause analysis experience and knowledge base maintenance
Education/Training:
- Bachelor's degree or eight years of progressive experience (preferred)
- Certification with ITIL principals and frameworks
- Microsoft Certifications
- Network Certifications (CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, etc.)
