Role Summary:
We're looking for a talented Associate Informaticist to join our dynamic Tools and Solutions team within the Analytics Organization Hub. In this role, you'll be a key player in creating automated, actionable insights that enhance operational efficiency and drive innovation. If you have a strong background in SAS, SQL, and Tableau with a focus on healthcare data, this is a fantastic opportunity for you to grow and explore new tools and technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Preparation: Extract and calculate metrics from various data sources, using SAS to prepare data for Tableau dashboards. Focus on areas such as harm events, patient safety, and adverse events.
Project Ownership: Manage projects from start to finish, including requirements gathering, documentation, development, deployment, and training analysts on new tools.
Collaboration: Work directly with business users to understand their needs, plan, design, and build solutions that meet their requirements.
Innovation: Contribute to enhancing data delivery and presentation to improve operational efficiencies and support various projects.
Required Qualifications:
Experience: At least 2 years of experience with Base & Advanced SAS, including SAS certifications and extensive use of macros.
Technical Skills: Proven ability in designing, developing, and maintaining data extraction/transformation jobs, analytical reporting, and automated programming with reusable SAS macro components.
SQL Proficiency: 2+ years of experience in SQL, with a solid understanding of multiple Database Management Systems and efficient table joins.
Tableau: 1+ year of experience in Tableau dashboard development.
Adaptability: Flexibility to switch between problem research/resolution and building sustainable processes.
Desired Qualifications:
Healthcare Data Experience: Familiarity with healthcare data and its specific challenges.
Independent Work: Ability to independently engage with business users to plan and design solutions.
Project Engagement: Experience supporting projects in both payor and provider sectors.
