Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Associate Informaticist to join our dynamic Tools and Solutions team within the Analytics Organization Hub. This role is essential in creating automated and actionable insights that drive operational efficiencies and foster innovation. If you have a strong background in SAS, SQL, and Tableau with a passion for healthcare data, this opportunity offers extensive growth and learning potential with the latest tools and technologies.
What You'll Bring:
Experience: At least 2 years of experience with Base & Advanced SAS, preferably with SAS certifications and extensive use of macros.
Technical Skills: Proven ability to design, develop, and maintain data extraction/transformation jobs, analytical reporting, and automated programming using reusable and SAS macro-driven components.
SQL Proficiency: 2+ years of experience with SQL, ideally across multiple Database Management systems, and a strong understanding of efficient table joins and indexing.
Tableau Expertise: At least 1 year of experience in Tableau dashboard development.
Adaptability: Comfortable switching between problem-solving and building sustainable processes.
Nice-to-Haves:
Healthcare Data Knowledge: Experience working with healthcare data.
Independence: Ability to collaborate directly with business users, understanding their requirements and independently planning and designing solutions.
Industry Experience: Familiarity with projects in both payor and provider verticals.
Your Responsibilities:
Data Extraction: Use SAS to extract and calculate metrics from multiple data sources, preparing data for Tableau dashboards related to key areas such as harm events, patient safety, and adverse events.
Data Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive 360-degree view of data to support various projects.
Collaboration: Engage directly with business users to gather requirements, plan, design, and build tailored solutions.
Project Ownership: Manage projects from start to finish, including gathering requirements, documentation, development, deployment, and training analysts on new tools.
Innovation: Contribute to the continuous improvement of data delivery and presentation, enhancing operational efficiencies.
