Position Summary:
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Health Educator III for NJMS - Pediatrics. The Health Educator III is responsible for stimulating public awareness of health needs, sound health practices, hospital and community resources. Promotes public awareness of HIV and STI for prevention and improved public health status. Conducts outreach and case management to clients that are lost to care and links those who are newly diagnosed with HIV to appropriate care and treatment programs. Provides HIV counseling ( ARTAS ), testing and referrals for clients receiving services on the STOP mobile unit and on-site. Serves as lead HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) Counselor. Participates in the Youth Advisory Board ( YAB )
