The Hill’s pet parent and veterinary-facing ecosystems are rapidly evolving in our increasingly digital world. As the leading division at Colgate Palmolive for both digital and eCommerce, Hill’s needs to continue to strengthen our digital ecosystems to be available when the veterinary health care teams and pet parents are looking for us.

The Global Digital Manager will support the Global Digital Transformation Teams by  providing thought leadership and strategic guidance on best in-class, scalable digital experiences across web, ecommerce, media, CRM to drive value for our B2B audiences around the world. This newly created role is an ideal opportunity for an innovative strategic thinker to influence and implement a strategic vision to transform the digital landscape globally. Creating compelling user experiences that deliver meaningful value to our B2B partners to  drive exponential business growth and impact! The role has leadership responsibility with one direct report and will need to be able to operate effectively across cultures and geographies influencing stakeholders and colleagues remotely and in different time zones.


What You Will Do: 

Digital Ecosystem Strategy - 35%

  • Developing, implementing and measuring the digital ecosystem vision and strategy across the globe. Including creation of strategic frameworks, roadmaps and measurement scorecards.
  • Sharing knowledge and best practices around the world to scale new ideas and accelerate digital maturity in the markets.
  • Establishing discipline of data-driven decision making; defining key value propositions across the digital user journeys, identifying immediate and future opportunities.
  • Ownership of globally owned platforms architecture evolution and feature development. Including overseeing the localisation prioritization with agency partners, optimisation and monitoring of processes to ensure effectiveness.
  • Lead for digital ecosystem troubleshooting and resolution with IT and agency partners. 

Digital Ecosystem Analytics - 20%

  • Drive a data-driven mindset across the business and lead the evolution of success metrics for the digital ecosystem, and its component features.
  • Establishing connection between data and design by creating strong collaboration with data engineering, data science and insights to future proof our measurement strategy, ensuring a fully measurable ecosystem in the markets and actionable insights.
  • Working with IT and agency partners to establish functional and custom tagging for ongoing measurement of performance metrics against established strategic goals. 
  • Manage ecosystem scorecard and provide updates to global and regional teams regarding success metrics and suggested actions to improve results. 

Digital Ecosystem Localization - 15%

  • Oversee the prioritization, processes, budget and measurement of market localisation of ecosystem updates.
  • Collaborate with regional and country teams to roll out each update to the appropriate countries, including understanding of local requirements, coordination with GIT and agency partners
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve processes to speed up implementation,  reduce costs and resource requirements. 

Recommendation Solution - 20%

  • Lead development of strategy to drive recommendations  of Hill’s nutrition products. Including identifying role and value across the user journey, defining core functionality, findability and accessibility across the ecosystem.

Team Leadership - 10%

  • Management and development of  direct report providing guidance and coaching to support their professional development and growth

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business or equivalent 
  • 5+ years of digital marketing experience (brand marketing or sales experience is acceptable for internal Hill’s candidates) 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree 
  • 3+ years experience within the consumer packaged goods industry 


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $115,200.00 - $163,000.00 USD

Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:
  • Insurance: Employees (and their eligible dependents) are eligible to participate in Company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Disability insurance plans.
  • Retirement Plans: Employees are eligible to enroll in Colgate's 401(k) plan, which provides for company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements
  • Vacation/PTO: Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually
  • Paid Holidays: Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually
  • Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year
  • Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
