Here's the Gist: Wolfspeed is seeking a
Facilities Gas & Chemical Process Engineer to join the facilities team at our Durham, NC location. You will provide expertise and ownership of gas and chemical distribution systems essential to our materials manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have experience with the construction and contract operation of these systems, including knowledge of relevant equipment manufacturers and suppliers. You will provide technical expertise and support to equipment vendors and various Wolfspeed teams to sustain and maintain this equipment.
The Day-to-Day: - Lead activities for Facilities owned PSM and RMP processes, particularly bulk hydrogen and Redox/Flare abatement system.
- Complete management of change requests (MoCs) and incident evaluations as they apply to the processes under your control.
- Conduct technical evaluations for the planning, design, operations and maintenance of specialty gas and chemical distribution systems including bulk gas (H2, N2, O2, argon), clean dry air (CDA), process vacuum, and house vacuum at both our Durham facility and Moore Drive facility.
- Communicate and coordinate with various production engineering groups to provide technical support, supply issue resolution, and collaboration for improved safety, quality, and system reliability.
- Work with professionals across the site to develop design criteria, project scopes, schedules, and funding requests to successfully define and deliver projects.
- Commission and startup new equipment installations, ensuring uninterrupted supply to internal customers.
- Prepare funding estimates, establish budgets, control costs and administer contracts.
This Job is Right for You If You Have (Minimum Requirements): - BS in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
- 5+ years' experience with gas supply equipment. Semiconductor, cleanroom, or high-tech manufacturing experience preferred.
- Proven track record in project management.
- Experience with PSM/RMP covered processes.
- Experience with PHA's and root cause analysis tools.
- Experience with FMEA and PCSA/SPC.
