Description We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic professional to join our team as a Business Development Liaison at the Fisher College of Business. This professional will play a crucial role in driving growth and expanding our business initiatives.
Identifies and researches potential business opportunities across industries for The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business’s Non-Degree Executive Education team by cultivating and expanding corporate relationships to attract and retain new Fortune 1000 clients within and outside Ohio. Research potential business opportunities across industries by analyzing market trends and competitive landscape to identify new business prospects. Builds and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders, including educational institutions, partners, and industry leaders to enhance visibility of the various programs. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop and execute business plans and marketing campaigns. Prepares and presents business proposals and presentations to clients and senior management.
Flexibility is essential, as the position may require occasional evening or weekend commitments, as well as travel. Significant interaction with various stakeholders is inherent to the role.
Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience in business administration, public administration, or a related field of study. 4 years’ experience in business development, product management, product development or a related area. Ability to facilitate opportunities for engagement between industry partners, faculty, students, and other units at the university. Ability to identify and foster collaborative relationships with industry partners. Metrics and results driven. Ability to work with faculty, staff, students, and external organizations of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Possesses excellent verbal written and visual communications skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
Desired Qualifications 6 years’ experience in business development, product management, product development or a related area Proven track record of success in business development or relationship sales. Strong understanding of the post-pandemic business landscape and current trends.
Additional Information The target hiring range for this job profile is $73,100 - $98,500. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limit to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
