Job Description

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Digital Asset Manager to join their dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in organizing, categorizing and optimizing digital media assets to enhance the overall efficiency of communications and educational initiatives.

This is a contract position to start and hybrid in the city of Chicago. 

Digital Asset Manager Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive digital asset management system to organize and catalog various digital media files, including images, videos, documents and other multimedia content
  • Ensure consistent naming conventions, metadata tagging and folder structures for easy retrieval and usage
  • Work closely with content creators, designers and other stakeholders to understand the specific requirements and metadata associated with each digital asset
  • Collaborate with different departments to gather and assess their digital asset needs
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and relevance of digital assets
  • Regularly review and update metadata to reflect changes in assets or organizational needs
  • Monitor and manage usage rights and licensing agreements for digital assets, ensuring compliance with copyright laws and regulations
  • Provide guidance to internal teams on proper usage and permissions
  • Conduct training sessions for staff members on how to effectively use the digital asset management system
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for users encountering issues with accessing or utilizing digital assets
  • Continuously evaluate and update the digital asset management system to incorporate industry best practices and technological advancements
  • Identify opportunities for system improvements and enhancements to streamline workflows
Digital Asset Manager Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in library sciences, information management or related field
  • Proven experience in digital asset management, preferably in an educational or large organization setting
  • Strong understanding of metadata standards and best practices
  • Familiarity with digital asset management software and systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
