Are you passionate about dance and mentoring youth? Leaders of Tomorrow Youth Center (LTYC) in Washington D.C. is looking for a dedicated Dance Instructor for Mid-Day/High School Students. • Develop creative and engaging dance lesson plans tailored to mid-day and high school students.
• Provide a dynamic and educational dance curriculum that meets the needs and interests of the students.
• Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.
• Create a safe and structured space where students can focus and thrive during dance classes.
• Lead dance classes with enthusiasm and professionalism, inspiring students to express themselves through movement.
• Cultivate a passion for dance and encourage students to develop their skills and confidence.
• Organize and oversee dance performances and showcases for students to demonstrate their progress and talents.
• Showcase students' achievements and provide opportunities for them to shine on stage.
• Collaborate with other instructors and staff to coordinate events and activities that enhance the overall dance program.
• Create a supportive community and enriching experience for students beyond regular dance classes.

Qualifications:

• Experience in teaching dance to mid-day and high school students.
• Strong background in lesson planning for dance classes.
• Ability to effectively manage a classroom setting.
• US Work Authorization.
• Proficient in creating engaging and interactive dance lessons.
