Credentialing Specialist Responsibilities:
· Manage CAQH, PECOS, and NPI registry for MNWC providers when applicable.
· Maintain and organize current state licenses, CSR, DEA certificates, malpractice coverage, and other required credentialing documents.
· Track license and certification expirations to ensure timely renewals for all providers.
· Collaborate with the Revenue Cycle Manager to ensure accurate provider attachments to existing and new contracts.
· Keep provider demographics up-to-date with all payers.
· Conduct audits of health plan directories to ensure accurate provider information.
· Stay informed about current health plan and facility requirements for credentialing providers.
· Assist in miscellaneous billing duties as assigned.
Credentialing Specialist Qualifications:
· Possess a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
· Demonstrate a track record of successful experience in healthcare credentialing, privileging, and re-credentialing.
· Have familiarity with CAQH, PECOS, NPI registry, and other pertinent credentialing platforms.
· Exhibit strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail, especially in documentation management.
· Maintain comprehensive knowledge of state licensing, CSR, DEA certificates, and malpractice coverage requirements, alongside effective communication skills for seamless collaboration with the Revenue Cycle Manager and accurate provider demographic maintenance.
