Position Overview: My client is seeking a highly skilled Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join their dynamic public accountancy firm specializing in business services, tax services, and services for individuals. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial regulations, with proven experience in delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services. You will play a critical role in helping our clients manage their financial needs, ensure compliance, and make strategic decisions to optimize their tax positions and business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review individual and business tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services for individuals, small businesses, and corporations to minimize tax liabilities.
- Conduct audits, reviews, and compilations of financial statements for clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
- Offer consulting services related to business formation, financial planning, and cash flow management to support clients' business growth.
- Assist clients with tax audits, represent them before tax authorities, and resolve tax-related disputes.
- Analyze financial data, prepare profit and loss statements, and provide clients with financial insights to drive better decision-making.
- Maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor for both short-term needs and long-term financial strategies.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and accounting regulations, ensuring clients are informed of relevant updates and their potential impacts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide comprehensive, tailored services across accounting, tax, and business advisory sectors.
Qualifications:
- CPA certification is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax preparation and advisory services.
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and accounting principles.
- Proficient in accounting software and tax preparation tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Drake, Lacerte).
- Excellent communication and client service skills with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
