Position Summary: Operating within multi-tiered systems, they support academic, social, behavioral, and emotional needs by ensuring students have access to supports in their least restrictive environments. Essential Responsibilities: * Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of multi-tiered systems to address academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students and to promote the development of Essential Skills so that students have equitable access to least restrictive environments.
- Consult with staff regarding communication and collaboration of behavioral data and needs with families, caregivers, other team members, and outside service providers to support student growth, and, as needed, direct communication and collaboration with these stakeholders.
- Consultation with multidisciplinary teams regarding environmental and academic adaptations on the whole-class or student-specific level to support development of student social-emotional and regulation skills.
- Provide Leadership and support to teams in development of student support plans.
- Collaborating with school-based teams in functional thinking process.
- Guidance to teams on conducting Functional Behavior Assessments and developing Behavior Intervention Plans, including operationally defining behaviors, development of data collection systems, data analysis, and progress monitoring.

- Work collaboratively to make recommendations regarding special education programs, services, and supports within the student’s Individualized Education Program.
- Provide insight and expertise to student teams and colleagues regarding general education accommodations and adaptation, and the special education continuum and services available to support student social-emotional/behavioral needs, as based upon a data-based body of evidence.
- Participate in development of building and district systems to support improved student outcomes and develop staff capacity.
- Provide and support the development of resources to administrators, educators, paraprofessionals and parents/guardians to promote student growth.
- Provide direct support to students who exhibit challenging behaviors via coaching and modeling in order to develop capacity of building/program staff in supporting these students.
- Support teams in the review of plans, data, and resource allocation for students who are being considered for more restrictive placement.
- Develop and facilitate professional learning for administrators, educator, and paraprofessional staff who work with students who exhibit maladaptive/unexpected behaviors.
- Provide consultation and expertise in district, state, and federal education policies and procedures.
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned by district administration.
- Serve as the primary contact to staff for behavior related reporting, data collection and training and assessment tracking.

- Implement district-adopted models, policies, procedures, and documentation (MTSS, PBIS, TCIS, FBAs, BIPs) at the classroom level.
- Consult, train, and support classroom staff on collection, entry, and analysis of data utilized in progress monitoring; help to determine the behavioral impact on academic progress and develop indicators of academic, social emotional, and behavioral health of students in the classroom.
- Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and data collection to monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed.
- Use applied behavior analytic practices to analyze classroom data sources to develop evidence-based interventions and monitor the implementation fidelity of the classroom management plan and any plans specific to individual students.
- Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students with social-emotional and behavioral challenges.
- Provide direct instruction and guidance to students on social skills development, emotional regulation, and conflict resolution.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, community providers, and support staff to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Offer consultation and training to classroom staff on effective behavior management techniques and strategies.
- Serve as a support for student learning in the classroom through group and individual instruction.
- Serve as a resource for parents/guardians, providing support and guidance on behavior management strategies to implement at home.
