POSITION: PT - Audio-Visual Technician
SALARY: $ 15.00 per hour
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required: - High school diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with technology set-up and use of Audio-Visual equipment
Preferred: - Associate's degree
- Experience supporting events and A/V needs in a higher-education setting
- Bi-Lingual-Spanish/English
Additional Eligibility Requirements: - Must have a valid driver's license
Classification: Position Type & Work Schedule: - Part-time, up to 19 hours per week
- This position is unique and requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.

Work Environment: - Indoors, mostly inside office and conference center, occasionally will have to work an event outdoors
- Normal noise levels, noise level elevate with crowds
- Normal lighting
- Professional dress code is required for attendance of all events in compliance with AWC and department
dress code requirements
Physical Demands: - Walk, sit and stand for several hours at a time
- Occasional sitting at a computer for prolonged periods of time
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- May need to move furniture with the assistance of others
Travel: - Occasionally may need to run errands
Note: - Yuma Campus
- Most events are on Yuma Campus, with occasional travel to other campuses
- No benefits
SUMMARY OF FUNCTION: The Audio-Visual Technician works with the conference and events department by supporting the audio-visual technology needs at the College.
TYPICAL DUTIES: Serves Students. Provides audio/visual technology support for AWC internal and external customer special events
Responsible for audio-visual technology on Campus for the Conference and Events Department
Basic functional support of computers used at events, including but not limited to the display of videos, images, presentations (PowerPoint), and virtual meetings via Zoom
Utilizes equipment including but not limited to PA systems, soundboards, microphones, projectors, screens, lighting, and live feed
Works with conference and events staff to build relationships with clients, and looks for ways of providing excellent customer service
Collaborates with other departments/customers to prepare and ensure success for each event
Support and participate in strategic planning initiatives and performs other duties as assigned
