POSITION DESCRIPTION
The AIS Athletics Department has programming for students in Pre-K through Grade 12, with approximately 40 Middle School, JV, and Varsity teams across the following sports: Cross Country, Volleyball, Soccer, Basketball, Golf, Tennis, Track and Field, Ultimate Frisbee, Swim and Dive, and eSports.The Athletics Department is seeking a committed, understanding, and versatile candidate to assist the Athletic Director and Associate Director of Athletics in the implementation of an appropriate and effective athletic program. Ideal candidates will be those who are interested in contributing to our programs in a variety of ways and have a passion for working with student-athletes in our multicultural and inclusive athletic community.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
This list of essential job functions is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary. Depending upon individual assignment, the employee may perform all or a combination of several of the following duties:● Overseeing all aspects of our Jr. Eagles program to include planning, registrations, implementation, and after season evaluation.
● Providing administrative game coverage during US and MS competitions. ● Overseeing all aspects of athletic summer camps to include planning, registrations, and daily operations.
● Ensuring game day live streams are accurately scheduled and operational at the start of competitions.
● Overseeing distribution, collection, and inventory of athletic uniforms.
● Potentially coaching during two athletic seasons.
● Maintaining accurate records of athletic equipment and organizing athletic storage spaces ● Communicating with coaches, athletic directors, and other staff members to ensure that all team members are aware of upcoming events, rules changes, and other information.
● Serve as a positive role model to the players and parents.
● Establish a working relationship with the coaches in the program and athletic department for the purpose of creating stronger overall teams and programs.
● Continue professional growth by attending classes, clinics, workshops, and affiliations with professional organizations.
● Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
● Bachelor’s degree preferred
● Relevant coaching experience preferred
● Required GHSA certification, if applicable
● Ability to willingly support and foster the mission of the AIS Athletics
● Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
● Strong written and oral communications and relational skills
● Leadership, planning, organizing, problem-solving and time management ● CPR/AED & First Aid Certification
● Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
● Background check and driving record check required
