The University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics competes at the highest level of intercollegiate athletics with the vision to reach Next Level Success for all 18 varsity teams and more than 500 student-athletes. Job Overview

The University of Cincinnati, Department of Athletics is seeking applications for an Assistant Director, Athletic Ticket Operations.

Reporting to the Assistant AD, the successful candidate will supervise the ticket operations for assigned sports while following all departmental, university, conference, and NCAA policies and regulations.

Essential Functions

  • Ensure adequate staffing and assign ticket takers and sellers for ticketed athletic events. Schedule and train ticket office staff.
  • Assist in the development of policies and procedures for the ticket office and game operations, assigning season tickets, and special assignments.
  • Design and maintain system for cash control. Perform daily reconciliation of receipts and deposit money. Maintain record of all sales and receipts and prepare reports as necessary.
  • Disseminate event information to the campus community and general public.
  • Assist in operating ticketing software to build seating charts, reserve group tickets, determine price points, etc. 
  • Collaborate with staff members and business partners to ensure efficient operations and exceptional experience for customers and donors. 
  • May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.). 
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Required Education

  • Bachelor?s Degree.
  • Six (6) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

Two (2) years of experience in ticket operations, which can be as a student or other part-time experience.

Additional Qualifications Considered

Must be able to work some evenings and weekends.
