GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for the protection, safeguarding, and security off all assets, employees, customers and visitors of Sunshine Minting, Inc.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Monitor the adherence to Sunshine Minting’s security policies and procedures by all employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Coordinate the secure transport of materials to other job sites as needed.
- Coordinate with contracting security companies to provide adequate on-site security in all forms, such as guards, electronic and video surveillance.
- Ensure that electronic surveillance tapes are recorded, rotated, and catalogued on a daily basis.
- Audit contracting security companies to ensure that they are providing security service that is in line with the needs of Sunshine Minting, Inc.
- Investigate and write reports on security violations, accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities.
- Provide any needed assistance to customers, employees and visitors with the companies procedures and policies.
- Audit existing security policies and procedures and advise where improvements are needed.
- Provide weekly Security reports to management as required.
- Maintain up to date files on all necessary security documentation; i.e. Confidentiality Agreements, Visitor/Contractor Acknowledgements, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Good working knowledge of security and enforcement procedures as well as safety practices in a business environment.
- Must be bondable.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with staff, customers, and vendors.
- Understand and follow standard operating procedures, to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance, to write and investigate required reports; to make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent plus any Security/Law Enforcement experience preferred.
- Four to five years experience in related security field.
- Ability to read, write, do basic math, and communicate effectively.
- Complete understanding of security procedures.

The Meltroom is a hot environment. Continuous standing is required. This is a very physical job.
